We are SO thrilled to have San Jose Earthquakes Defender Tommy Thompson join us to share how he is using his incredible talent during the shelter in place to motivate and connect aspiring young soccer athletes from around the world.

As a city council member during the Loma Prieta Earthquake John has plenty of wisdom to offer about keeping the lights on for Santa Cruz. In his 40 year career, he has served as a local government analyst, mayor,  community college trustee, community activist, state legislator, and governor’s cabinet secretary.

We are incredibly grateful to have City Council Member Martine Watkins join us from home while she shelters in place with her husband and children. As a working mom, she knows first-hand about the challenges that families are facing to keep kiddos happy and engaged.
