Would you like to have an Americorps VIP serve at your organization? The Volunteer Center has partnered with CalSERVES for the last six years to train and place Americorps members to serve for 11 months as Volunteer Coordinators at fellow nonprofits in Santa Cruz County. We annually recruit new agencies to participate in the Volunteer Infrastructure Program (VIP) starting in May and introduce a new group of fellows into the community in September.

Agency Requirements and Responsibilities
We ask that organizations carefully consider their capacity for incorporating Americorps members into their organization as a Volunteer Coordinator. Member assignments will be based on an organization's ability to support its Americorps member professionally and financially. Agency Partners are required to pay $16,000 for the grant match and have the resources available to provide workspace and supervision for the member.
