Are you Ready for a Natural Disaster or Emergency?
We have joined the California For All Movement in partnership with Listos California to help our community prepare for emergencies and disasters. With many of us still sheltering in place, it is a great time to create or update our emergency/disaster preparedness plans. Fire season is here and we can all help build a more resilient Santa Cruz County by preparing now.
Prepare for an Emergency in 5 Steps
Is your family ready for emergencies? From earthquakes to fires, we have learned in 2020 that life can be unpredictable. Follow these steps to be better prepared. If you are short on time, break it down into weekly activities to do by yourself, or with friends and family.
Emergency Prep Community RoundTable
Community Partners and Emergency Response Managers are invited to register for our Online Community Roundtable. Representatives from the California Office of Emergency Services and the Santa Cruz County Office of Emergency Services will be present to hear feedback from you about our community's level of emergency preparedness. To ensure an informed discussion, attendees will be asked to review disaster preparedness materials before attending. The first 30 community members who register for the event (and attend) will receive a $10 gift card to Target.
Enroll in a Text Class
Are you looking for a quick and easy way to receive the info you need to prepare for an emergency? We invite you to enroll in our text class. Simply text LISTOS CA to 72345 and you will receive everything you need via 7 texts over 7 days. Be sure to provide your zip code when registering so that we can follow up with any additional location based resources.
