Santa Cruz Sentinel – June 24 – In Memory of Fairfax Lomonosoff.
Fairfax Lomonosoff passed away peacefully on May 29, 2022, with her daughter Catherine and granddaughter Natalie by her side. She was 94……..Fairfax had a lifelong passion for volunteering which began during WWII in Chappaqua NY… She was initially employed at the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, then decided to volunteer there until she was 90. She was Honored with a National Award for bringing the File Of Life program to the tri-county area. She fundraised and made her own private donations to keep it going for about ten years. She worked on the Transportation Desk for about 25 years arranging free rides for medical appointments and the purchasing of groceries. Transportation clients, drivers, staff and other volunteers all especially liked her……….She wanted no funeral or memorial, so she will be most honored by any donations to the Volunteer Center or the Santa Cruz Public Library………………………………
