Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries for older Americans and yet many incidents are preventable. In partnership with fellow senior service providers we've form the Monterey Bay Falls Prevention Coalition to support seniors in preventing falls, reducing risk, and increasing strength and balance through resource sharing, consultation, and group training. If you or someone you know is interested in attending our award winning "A Matter of Balance" evidenced-based workshop, please express interest below and we will follow up with more information. In our 8 session workshop we will share everyday exercises for fall prevention, provide tips on home safety, and explore how the fear of falling can be overcome.

GET PERSONALIZED SUPPORT THROUGH FALLS TALKS
FallsTalk is an individual program for anyone who has experienced a fall or regular loss of balance; regardless of walking ability, medical condition, mobility or fitness level. The program begins with a personal FallsTalk Interview to discuss your unique situation. After the initial interview and follow-up with a trained facilitator, we will provide daily personal reflection and weekly or monthly check-in calls as needed. Assess your risk with our survey and a staff member will follow up with next steps.

VOLUNTEER AS A MATTER OF BALANCE COACH
Are you interested in helping older adults build their confidence and mobility? Do you enjoy leading groups? We are looking for volunteers who have the desire, time, and leadership skills to facilitate our classes. We provide coaches training and certification to ensure you have the tools needed.
