Giving Tuesday with the Adopt-a-Family Project | Tues. Dec 1, 2020
To say that it has been a challenging year for Santa Cruz County would be a vast understatement. From the economic fallout of the pandemic to the devastation of wildfires, we know that so many in our community are struggling to make ends meet. Despite these challenges, the compassion and resilience of our community continues to shine through.
Every day at the Volunteer Center we meet kind people who are stepping up to ensure that others are not alone in their struggle. We are incredibly grateful to those who have continued to reach out to support their neighbors this year, particularly as we enter into the holiday season.
On Giving Tuesday, we invite all those generous folks to join us in supporting the Volunteer Center Adopt a Family Project. For the last 30 years, the project has connected donors with local families in need. With your help we can make the holiday brighter for 500 families who are struggling– including those who lost their homes in recent fires, were impacted by COVID layoffs, and those facing a variety of economic and social hardship.
