2023 Recipient of the Be the Difference Award for Building a Green & Sustainable Community

Dale Bieser has volunteered for the Seymour Marine Discovery Center for nearly 12 years, reaching tens of thousands with the center’s mission of educating people about marine conservation. During the pandemic, Dale’s ingenuity kept the center alive, providing operational support and generating revenue. Her positive attitude, welcoming demeanor, and endless energy make her an inspiration and a mentor to volunteers young and old. Hosted by the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County, the Be the Difference Awards celebrates the individuals, groups, and businesses who do the most to transform Santa Cruz County through volunteerism!
