2023 Recipient of the Be the Difference Award for Rebuilding Community After Disaster

The Boulder Creek Fire Protection District, led by Chief Mark Bingham, is truly a team of volunteer heroes providing all emergency services for their district. These brave men and women volunteered tirelessly during the CZU fires to protect the community and provide support and aid during the storms and floods of this winter  – while also responding to any and all emergencies throughout their district. Hosted by the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County, the Be the Difference Awards celebrates the individuals, groups, and businesses who do the most to transform Santa Cruz County through volunteerism!
