What is the Human Race?
The Human Race is a nationwide community fundraising event for nonprofit organizations, schools, and faith based organizations. The Santa Cruz County Race features a 6 week fundraising campaign that culminates in a five-mile walk and fun run along beautiful West Cliff Drive.
Each year more than 100 teams reach out to the community to ask for support for the causes they champion. Together we rally more than 10,000 donors and 2000 participants on the day of the race.
Participating Agencies- Why fundraise with the Human Race?
A fun, fast & easy way to raise money for your nonprofit, school, or agency.
It is the largest collaborative community fundraiser in Santa Cruz County, having raised over $1 million for community groups in the past 5 years. Participating nonprofits, schools, and churches raise funds to help meet the educational, environmental, social, and creative needs of our community.
With over 35 years of experience, we’ve taken the guesswork out of fundraising and we prepared to help you get to your fundraising finish line.
Volunteer at the Human Race
Every year the race is successful due to the support of nearly 300 volunteers. We would love your help this year. Volunteers help with the registration booth, set-up and take-down, host games and water booths, and serve as our end of the race cheering section. Learn More and Register as a Volunteer
