Thanks for Being a Star For Your Community
May 12, 2018
With nearly $300,000 raised, we are feeling so proud of all those hard-working Human Race Teams. A huge thank-you to our local schools, non-profits, community groups and business partners who made this a fabulous year at the Race.
AND, The fun isn't over just yet. Teams are still in the running for prizes and matching incentives. They have until May 31st to turn in final donations. If you didn't make it to the race you can still visit the Human Race Website and donate to your favorite cause.
Human Race Awards Cermony
We look forward to your attendance at the 2018 Human Race Awards Celebration at the Community Foundation. (We're doing a date refresh- stay tuned for the new date!) We invite agencies reps, sponsors, and top fundraisers to join us for drinks, appetizers, and celebration. We would love to have each and every participant there but alas, we just won’t fit. Therefore we request no more than 2 representatives per team.
We will announce our final prizes, honor our top fundraisers, and hand out checks to all participating teams. RSVP FOR THE AWARDS
What is the Human Race?
The Human Race is a nationwide community fundraising event for nonprofit organizations, schools, and faith based organizations. The Santa Cruz County Race features a 6 week fundraising campaign that culminates in a five-mile walk and fun run along beautiful West Cliff Drive, a complimentary breakfast, music along the course, a costume contest, a BBQ lunch and family friendly festivities at the finish line.
Each year more than 120 teams reach out to the community to ask for support for the causes they champion. Together we rally more than 10,000 donors and 1500 participants on the day of the race.
Why Join the Human Race?
A fun, fast & easy way to raise money for your nonprofit, school, or agency.
It is the largest collaborative community fundraiser in Santa Cruz County, having raised over $1 million for community groups in the past 5 years. Participating nonprofits, schools, and churches raise funds to help meet the educational, environmental, social, and creative needs of our community.
To help agencies reach this goal, we provide a top of the line fundraising website and $58,000 in prizes and matching funds.
Volunteer at the Human Race
Every year the race is successful due to the support of nearly 300 volunteers. We would love your help this year. Volunteers help with the registration booth, set-up and take-down, host games and water booths, and serve as our end of the race cheering section. Learn More and Register as a Volunteer
