We are pleased to partner with Points of Light, the largest organization in the world dedicated to volunteer service, to offer you the Service Enterprise Initiative (SEI).
This initiative goes beyond standard volunteer management training by empowering nonprofits to more effectively address community needs and scale their operations by transforming the way they engage volunteers. Scholarships are available for up to 10 organizations.
Each organization is invited to bring up to 4 people to each training session.

What is a Service Enterprise Organization?
An organization that fundamentally leverages volunteers and their skills across all leadership levels, and in all departments, to successfully deliver on the social mission of the organization.
We have received generous support from the Center for Nonprofit Leadership in Monterey and the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County to offer this training in Santa Cruz, Watsonville and Monterey in 2017.

Organizations that effectively engage volunteers are more adaptable, sustainable, capable of expanding and outperform fellow non-profits. or every dollar a nonprofit invests in effective volunteer engagement, it can expect up to $6 in return. What Will the Training Provide?
Through the training you will be provided with a thorough and research-based assessment of existing organizational volunteer engagement practices called the Service Enterprise Diagnostic (SED). Up to 16 hours of training to assist in reimagining ways in which your organization engages volunteers. 10 hours of individualized consulting from experts in the field to address unique organizational opportunities and challenges. National certification signifying the organization’s commitment to and proficiency in appropriately leveraging the time and skills of volunteers to meet the social mission of the organization.
How Do I Apply?
We offer a limited number of full scholarships for Service Enterprise Training valued at $5,000. We invite you to complete the application to join our next cohort.
